Fresh 406 SBC Race Engine

With the shortage of 400 SBC cores, I thought I would offer this...

My 400 dyno mule short block freshened with new Hastings rings, new Speed Pro main & rod bearings, Durabond cam bearings, new solid lifter camshaft (.570/.557" lift, 294/304 dur) and a new timing chain. The crankshaft will be re-machined for freshness sake. The bore job has 8-10 total hours of run time on it and is in race ready shape.

I'll top this engine with New Dart Iron Eagle heads with new 2.08/1.60" swirl polished race valves with undercut stems. The intake manifold will be a like new Holley single plane. The oil pan will be a new 7 quart race pan with a windage tray.

The compression will be 11.9:1 and will require racing gasoline, methanol or ethanol fuel.
